BUSINESS / OFFICE COMBINED PROPOSAL FORM
A policy for commercial office premises and professional consulting rooms.
Cover is provided under six sections. Cover under Section A must be taken if this type of policy is to be issued, but Sections B and G are optional.
SECTION A – OFFICE CONTENTS are insured against:-
Fire, Explosion, Lightning, Earthquake, Riot, Strike, Malicious Damage, Storm, Flood, Burst Pipes and Impact by Aircraft, Road Vehicles, Horses or Cattle, theft or attempted theft involving break-in. IN ADDITION this Section provides the following useful extensions:
- Tenants’ liability for loss of or damage to Landlord’s fixtures and fittings up to 10% of the Contents sum insured.
- Temporary removal of Contents, up to 15% of the Contents sum Insured.
- Loss of rent if the premises are Untenantable as a result of an insured peril, upto 10% of the Contents sum insured.
- Out of pocket expenses if the premises are untenantable as a result of an insured peril, upto 5% of the Contents sum insured.
SECTION B – ALL RISKS
Provides cover against accidental loss of, or damage to, specified office machinery.
SECTION C – LEGAL LIABILITY TO THE PUBLIC
Provides cover for all sums which the insured shall be legally liable to pay as damages for accidental bodily injury and/or damage to property of third parties including law costs and expenses incurred with the written consent of the Company.
SECTION D – LOSS OF MONEY
Provides cover for loss of money In direct transit or on premises including damage to safes or strong room caused by theft or any attempt threat.
SECTION E – LOSS OF DOCUMENTS
Indemnifies against the costs incurred in replacing lost, stolen, destroyed or damaged documents and against legal liability arising out of such loss, theft, destruction or damage.
SECTION F – WIBA (WORK INJURY BENEFITS ACT)
Indemnity to the employer against legal liability under the Work Injury Benefits Act, 2007 and subsequent amendments in respect of assessments and awards for bodily injury by accident or disease caused to employees in course of their employment, and occurring / made during the period of Insurance, subject to the terms and conditions, exceptions and warranties, of the Policy.
